Giant – Terms & Conditions

1. About Giant
Giant (“we”, “our”, “us”) is an online platform and mobile application that enables users to book services, purchase products, interact with service providers, and track order/job progress through defined stages.
2. Eligibility & Accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the platform.
- You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and all activity under your account.
- You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration and to keep your account information up to date.
3. Service & Product Orders
- Customers can book services or purchase products by submitting detailed requests, including job descriptions, preferred dates/times, budget, delivery type, and relevant images.
- Customers may select from available categories or use the “Others” option to describe custom jobs.
- Customers can review and edit their order details before submission.
4. Offers, Negotiation & Acceptance
- Service Providers receive notifications of new jobs or product orders and may submit offers with pricing and job descriptions.
- Customers can view, accept, or negotiate offers via chat. Any agreed price changes must be updated in the system before proceeding.
- Acceptance of an offer forms a contract between the Customer and the Service Provider, not Giant.
5. Payments & Fees
- Customers must confirm and pay for accepted offers or product orders through the platform’s payment system.
- Funds are held in escrow and released to the Service Provider only after the Customer confirms job completion or product delivery.
- Service Providers may set and edit delivery charges within their profile.
- Giant may charge a platform fee or commission, which will be disclosed at checkout. You will be notified at least 30 days in advance of any changes to fee structures.
- All prices, fees, and taxes are shown (or added) at checkout. Service Providers are responsible for remitting any applicable taxes on their earnings.
6. Order Fulfillment & Status Updates
- Service Providers must update job status at each stage: Accepted, On My Way, In Progress, Work Started, and Completed.
- Customers receive notifications of status changes and may track progress in their account.
- For shop orders, Customers must confirm receipt of products to release payment to the Service Provider.
7. Cancellations & Refunds
- Either party may cancel an order before completion. A reason for cancellation must be provided.
- Refunds, if applicable, are subject to Giant’s refund policy, which will be displayed at checkout or in the order summary.
- Giant is not responsible for disputes between Customers and Service Providers but may mediate at its discretion.
8. Reviews & Ratings
- After job completion or product delivery, Customers may submit reviews of Service Providers.
- Reviews must be honest, fair, and not violate any laws or platform policies.
9. User Obligations & Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Post unlawful, infringing, or misleading content.
- Use the Service for fraud, spamming, or unsolicited marketing.
- Interfere with the security or proper functioning of the platform.
- Offer or request illegal services or products.
10. Intellectual Property
- All Giant software, trademarks, and branding remain our property.
- Except for content you upload, you may not reproduce or distribute any part of the Service without written consent.
11. Privacy
- We collect and process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
12. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
- The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Giant disclaims all liability for services or products provided by users of the platform, or for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
- Our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total platform fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) US $100.
- Giant and its affiliates are not liable for any incidents, accidents, or conflicts that arise during the fulfillment of jobs or delivery of products. The Service Provider and Customer are solely responsible.
13. Indemnity
- You agree to indemnify and hold Giant, its affiliates, and employees harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your (i) use of the Service, (ii) content you upload, or (iii) breach of these Terms.
14. Termination
- We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violation of these Terms or applicable law.
- You may close your account at any time.
15. Changes to These Terms
- We may modify these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email or in-app notice at least 30 days before they take effect.
16. Governing Law & Disputes
- These Terms are governed by the laws of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
